RIPPLE FISHER Ocean Ridge

This is a comparison of the bending of a rod under a static load of 6 kg applied to Ocean Ridge. Ultimo 80MH displayed for reference. The rods are color coded by model, with FS78 shown in red. Looking at the flex, the FS78 and LC82 appear to have the same horsepower, but the feel of use is vastly different. The LC82 is suitable for long range fish fighting, but the curve point is further away from the angler than the shorter version, so rod feels stiff in close combat. On the other hand, the FS78 is designed with high power, but with an emphasis on balance, and when fighting a big GT at medium to short distances, the curve point is close, resulting in a quick response and less strain on the angler. 

The Ocean Ridge is a GT model designed primarily for use with poppers and large pencils. In 2021, the FS78 was released, which is a refinement of the strongest Final Spirit GT model.

Ultimo has a flexible tip and is specialized for stickbaits as a main lure. The fight is smooth, so it is recommended for people of short stature and women.

The FINAL SPIRIT GT 78 is the strongest GT rod in the history of Ripple Fisher GT rods. The action of the rod makes it easy to handle large diameter poppers in the largest cup class. Can also be easily used with 300mm class stickbaits. Despite its power, the blank is very sensitive even when working with extra-large lures. It's not the kind of rod you can use all day long, but it's the rod you'd like to use in the harsh environments where the most evil GTs live.
