Series Model Classification by Power: Depending on your target species, required lure weights, and depth, the lineup offers four specialized configurations. The model naming convention follows a classic Japanese engineering system. For example, in model 572, the first two digits indicate the length (5 feet 7 inches), and the third digit (2) confirms its multi-piece travel layout.The power rating is designated in pounds (LB), which represents the maximum braid line test rating:

Model 552 / 30 LB (Approx. 165 cm)

The lightest and most sensitive configuration in the series. It is an excellent choice for medium-heavy jigging at moderate depths where excessively heavy lures are not required. Ideal for technical animation and targeting mid-sized reef predators such as groupers, smaller tuna species, and snappers. (Matches approx. PE 3.0).

Model 592 / 35 LB (Approx. 175 cm)

The versatile, all-around workhorse of the lineup. It delivers the optimal balance between tip sensitivity and backbone lifting power. This modification covers the majority of standard tropical expedition tasks, providing comfortable vertical jig animation throughout the entire day. (Matches approx. PE 3.5 – 4.0).

Model 572 / 50 LB (Approx. 170 cm)A heavy-class power rod built for demanding environments. This modification is designed for deep-water zones and areas with strong tidal currents where heavy jigs are necessary. It features a massive stopping resource, allowing the angler to confidently force the fight and stop the explosive initial runs of large Amberjacks and Giant Trevally (GT). (Matches approx. PE 5.0).

Model 592 / 70 LB (Approx. 175 cm)The uncompromising heavyweight and flagship of the series. An extremely powerful blank with a massive line rating, built for hunting true ocean monsters and trophy-sized tuna. It allows you to lock down the reel drag completely, serving as the ultimate weapon for strict vertical tug-of-war battles at extreme depths. (Matches approx. PE 6.0 – 8.0).

PE12 Team Setup Recommendations:

Reel Selection: We recommend pairing these blanks with top-tier offshore spinning reels in sizes 8000, 10000, 14000, 20000 (Shimano standard), choosing the size based on the power class of your selected rod (30–70 LB).

Gear Ratio: For deep-sea vertical work, modifications with the PG (Power Gear) designation are highly recommended. The lower gear ratio provides essential high torque, reducing physical fatigue during heavy retrieves and fish pumping.
