Blank Materials and Technology:
The foundation of the rigid Grand Armor blank layout is built upon a hybrid composite consisting of two proprietary elements: Hi Tension, Hi Torque Graphite Accumulated Fiber and Hi Torque twin Aramid (Kevlar) Fiber. This structural fusion injects a massive stopping resource directly into the butt section of the rod, allowing the angler to confidently apply maximum drag pressure and dictate close-quarters combat.
Series Model Lineup & Ring Setups:
The lineup consists of two specialized configurations in a 7'8" length (approx. 234 cm). The difference lies in the diameter of the first stripper guide, optimized for different line and reel classes:
Platinum 78 "set-up #12": Features a 12mm low-profile stripper guide. This setup is optimized for lighter casting setups, size 8000 reels, and PE 4.0 lines, providing maximum accuracy with compact stickbaits.
Platinum 78 "set-up #16": Features an increased 16mm stripper guide. Designed for heavy tuna casting with larger size 10000–14000 reels and thick PE 5.0–6.0 lines. The wider guide allows thick shock-leaders and bulky connection knots to pass through effortlessly without reducing casting distance.

Low Rider Guide Concept
The rods are equipped with genuine Titanium Low Rider (LC Concept) guides. Utilizing small-diameter, low-profile guides in titanium frames on a heavy-duty tuna rod is a signature technical know-how of Patriot Design. This unique guide layout instantly straightens the line spiral as it flies off the reel spool, channeling it in a strict, narrow stream along the blank. This completely eliminates wind knots, line slapping, and braid tangles, ensuring flawless long-distance casts of stickbaits even directly into heavy crosswinds or head gales.
PE12 Team Setup Recommendations:
Reel Selection: For offshore tuna casting, we highly recommend pairing these blanks with top-tier saltwater spinning reels in sizes 8000, 10000, or 14000 (Shimano standard).
Gear Ratio: For working surface stickbaits and poppers, high-speed modifications with HG (High Gear) or XG (Extra High Gear) designations are the ideal choice. They are essential for instantly picking up line slack after the cast and maintaining rapid control over the lure.
Important Note: Because the composite Kevlar/Aramid blanks of this legendary series are no longer manufactured by the Japanese factory, this product is highly exclusive and supplied without an official manufacturer's factory warranty.
